Growing up in Winchester, going to Apple Blossom was a yearly tradition that I always looked forward to. If you are not from the Winchester area then you probably have no clue about Apple Blossom, and that's okay! The Apple Blossom Festival is an annual event celebrating the arrival of spring and the blooming of apple trees in the Shenandoah Valley. It typically takes place in late April or early May and features a variety of activities including parades, concerts, carnival rides, apple-themed events, and more. The festival has been a tradition in Winchester since 1924 and is one of the largest and oldest festivals of its kind in the United States. It attracts visitors from all over the country who come to enjoy the festivities and the beauty of the blooming apple orchards.
