Jenn and Marco’s wedding day at The Inn at the Old Silk Mill in Fredericksburg, Virginia was one of those days that just felt easy from start to finish. Even with cold temperatures and a steady wind outside, everything inside was warm, relaxed, and full of energy.
From the very beginning, it was clear how fun and laid back these two are. The kind of couple that trusts the process, enjoys every moment, and keeps things stress free. That energy carried throughout the entire day.
The details set the tone early on. Rich green tones, gold accents, and clean, elegant styling tied everything together beautifully. From the invitations to the rings, everything felt intentional without being overdone.
The venue itself was the perfect fit for an indoor wedding. The Inn at the Old Silk Mill has such a unique character with its exposed brick, large windows, and soft draping that transforms the space. It created a cozy atmosphere that felt intimate even with around 150 guests in attendance.
The ceremony was simple, meaningful, and full of emotion. With the soft light coming through the space and everyone gathered close, it really highlighted what the day was all about. Jenn and Marco stayed present the entire time, just soaking it all in.
After the ceremony, we stepped outside briefly for a few portraits. Even though it was cold and windy, they handled it like pros. The soft evening light gave us a really beautiful look, and those quiet moments together ended up being some of my favorite images from the day.
Once the reception started, the energy completely shifted in the best way possible. The dance floor was packed almost immediately, and it stayed that way all night. Rick P from Blacktie Entertainment did an incredible job keeping the momentum going and reading the room perfectly. It is always a huge difference when you have a DJ that knows how to create that kind of atmosphere, and this was one of those nights where everything just clicked.
From emotional moments to nonstop dancing, the entire day felt well balanced and genuine. Nothing forced, nothing rushed. Just a great group of people celebrating two people who clearly belong together.
Jenn and Marco, thank you both for trusting me to capture your day. It was an absolute pleasure to be a part of it.
